Blend in a food processor until very smooth:
1 can of garbanzo beans (drained, liquid reserved)
3 Tbs reserved bean liquid
3 Tbs olive oil (or more)
1 clove of garlic
3 Tbs tahini (sesame seed paste)
The juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp cumin
A handful of cilantro leaves
A few cranks of black pepper
a pinch of salt

Creamy, bright, fresh tasting heaven. I could almost lick my computer screen!

Going vegan..very commendable! And, sooo looking forward to more recipes like these! I've been wanting to make hummus for a while now (I'm obsessed too!!). I will be trying this, but without the cilantro (not a big fan). Charlotte loves hummus with olives, so I think I'll try that.
Wow, Charlotte has a sophisticated palate:)
I admit I miss real cheese, but other than that, being vegan has been easy. Nate has loved everything I have made too!
